By accessing or using the Yours First Step Foundation website ("Site"), you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

These terms apply to visitors, internship applicants, certificate verifiers, newsletter subscribers, donors, and other users of the public Site. Our Privacy Policy explains how we process personal information and forms part of your use of the Site.

You must be legally capable of agreeing to these terms. If you are not legally competent to consent on your own, you may use the Site or submit information only with the involvement and authorization of a parent or lawful guardian as required by applicable law.

Internships may be available to college students and non-college applicants where stated. You must provide accurate information about your identity, background, and eligibility.

The Site provides information about our organization and programs, internship application facilities, administrative communications, public certificate verification, a contact form, newsletter subscription, blog content, and links to Razorpay-hosted donation checkout.

We may add, change, suspend, or discontinue Site features where reasonably necessary. The availability of a listing or feature does not guarantee continued availability or any particular outcome.

When you apply for or participate in an internship, you agree that:

• All information and documents you submit are accurate, complete, current, and lawfully provided.
• You may maintain only one active application per email address at a time, as enforced by our systems.
• You must accept these Terms & Conditions and our Privacy Policy via the consent checkbox before submitting an application.
• Submitting an application does not guarantee selection, an offer, or completion of an internship.
• Selection depends on eligibility, available slots, program needs, deadlines, and our review. We may reject an application or close a listing.
• An offer letter confirms selection subject to its contents and any reasonable program instructions. Specific internship dates are confirmed separately.
• A certificate is issued only after we record the internship as completed and applicable program requirements have been met.
• We may withhold or correct records where information is false, misleading, incomplete, submitted without authority, or connected with misconduct.

You agree to use the Site only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe the rights of others or restrict their use of the Site.

• Do not attempt to gain unauthorized access to admin areas, databases, or stored documents.
• Do not interfere with the Site, bypass security or access controls, introduce malware, or impose an unreasonable load.
• Do not scrape, harvest, reproduce, or automate access in a way that violates law, these terms, or the rights of others.
• Do not upload malicious, unlawful, infringing, deceptive, or unauthorized files or content.
• Do not misrepresent your identity or affiliation when contacting us or applying for programs.
• Do not misuse certificate numbers, verification results, organization branding, or issued documents to mislead another person.

Offer letters and internship certificates are generated as PDF documents and delivered to the email address associated with the application as attachments. The Site does not provide public, student, or administrator download links for those PDFs.

A certificate recipient who loses the certificate email may request a resend from the verification result page by confirming the email address on the application. Offer letters do not have a self-service resend facility.

QR codes on certificate PDFs link to the public verification URL. Anyone with a valid certificate number can view the verification metadata described in our Privacy Policy.

Public verification displays current database metadata and does not provide the certificate PDF. Verification indicates that a matching certificate record exists; it does not independently establish identity beyond the displayed information.

You retain any rights you hold in information and documents you submit. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive permission to host, copy, review, process, and use those materials only as reasonably necessary to administer the relevant service, communicate with you, maintain records, protect the Site, and comply with law.

You confirm that you have the right and authority to provide all submitted information and documents and that our permitted processing will not unlawfully infringe another person's rights.

Donation checkout is hosted and processed by Razorpay. Razorpay's terms and privacy practices apply to the payment information you submit through its checkout. We do not operate a custom payment form or store full card, bank-account, or UPI credentials.

A donation record appears in our administration system only after Razorpay sends us a verified successful payment-captured event. Razorpay remains the primary source for failed attempts, payment processing, and payment-method details.

Donations are voluntary and do not create a right to an internship, certificate, service, or other benefit. Contact us promptly about a payment concern; any refund, reversal, receipt, or tax treatment is subject to applicable law, organizational policy, and the payment provider's processes.

If you submit the contact form, we may use the supplied details to respond and send a submission confirmation. We do not provide an in-dashboard reply facility.

If you subscribe to the newsletter, we record your email address and send an initial welcome email. The current Site does not provide an automated unsubscribe link; you may request removal by contacting us.

The Site and its text, graphics, logos, design, software, and original content are owned by or licensed to Yours First Step Foundation and are protected by applicable laws.

You may access and use the Site for personal, lawful, non-commercial purposes. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, license, create misleading derivatives from, or commercially exploit Site content without our prior written permission, except where applicable law permits.

The Site relies on or links to third-party services, including Razorpay for donation checkout. We do not control third-party websites or services and are not responsible for their availability, content, security, or separate terms and privacy practices.

A link or technical integration does not constitute an endorsement beyond the purpose for which it is provided.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Site, listings, content, and online facilities are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties that access will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for a particular purpose.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Subject to that restriction, we are not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss arising from Site use, application outcomes, third-party services, unauthorized use, or reliance on public verification data.

You remain responsible for maintaining copies of emails and documents delivered to you and for verifying that information you submit is accurate.

We may restrict or suspend access to Site facilities, reject submissions, or take other reasonable action where we believe these terms have been violated, security is at risk, information is fraudulent or unauthorized, or action is needed to comply with law.

Provisions that by their nature should continue—including intellectual property, disclaimers, liability limitations, governing law, and record-related obligations—survive termination of access.

We may update these terms to reflect changes in our services, practices, providers, or legal obligations. Revised terms take effect when posted unless a later date is stated.

The "Last updated" date indicates the most recent revision. Material changes may also be highlighted on the Site where appropriate. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute is subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts determined under applicable Indian law.

Before starting formal proceedings, you and the organization should make a reasonable attempt to resolve the dispute through written communication, except where urgent relief is necessary.
